This Australian grown variety of Traditional malt is kilned at a slightly higher temperature than other malts.
The result is a darker hued beer when used as a base malt with an increased range of flavors including caramel, biscuit and toffee. Typically this malt is suited to most ales as well as some of the darker ales (as a base malt).
