Micro Nutrients / Trace Elements
These are required in small quantities by the plant, but they are still essential for plant health and production. The trace elements are Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Molybdenum (Mo) and Zinc (Zn) and without them plants will exhibit a variety of deficiency symptoms.
Copper Sulphate - Agriculture
Molecular Formula: CuSO4.5H2O
Molecular Weight: 249.69
Copper sulfate - Agriculture Grade is an inorganic compound that combines sulfur with copper. It can kill bacteria, algae, roots, plants, snails, and fungi. The toxicity of copper sulfate depends on the copper content. Copper is an essential mineral. It can be found in the environment, foods, and water.
Copper Sulphate - Electroplating Grade is primarily Copper Sulphate Pentahydrate 99 percentage. Widely used as a catalyst, this plating chemicals is used for plating of the products as it helps in protecting the product from corrosion. Commonly it is known as Blue crystal of copper sulfate.
In decoration, copper sulfate adds color to cement, metals and ceramic. Some batteries, electrodes and wire contain copper sulfate. It is used in printing ink and hair dye and it creates a green color in fireworks.
Applications
1.Used as fungicide and cupric pesticides(Bordeaux mixture) in agricultural field, can be used to kill the fungi, prevention and control of fruit trees diseases.
2.Widely used in the prevention and treatment of fish diseases in aquaculture. Can also be used for algae removal in paddy fields and pond.
3.Important trace elements fertilizer in agriculture and important trace element for animal feed additives.
4.Used as the electrolyte in electrolyse refined copper.
5.As activator in non-ferrous metals flotation.
