Liquid Glucose Syrup (BE-45° / Brix 85)
Liquid glucose syrup is a concentrated aqueous solution of glucose, maltose, and higher saccharides produced by the enzymatic or acid hydrolysis of starch. It has a Brix value of approximately 85, indicating a high solids content. The syrup appears as a clear to slightly yellow, viscous liquid and is readily soluble in water.
Usage and Applications
Liquid glucose syrup is used in food, beverage, confectionery, bakery, dairy, and pharmaceutical applications. It is incorporated into candies, jams, ice cream, beverages, baked goods, syrups, and processed foods.
