Thiamine, also known as thiamin or vitamin B₁, is a vitamin found in food, and manufactured as a dietary supplement and medication.
Vitamin B1, or thiamin, helps prevent complications in the nervous system, brain, muscles, heart, stomach, and intestines. It is also involved in the flow of electrolytes into and out of muscle and nerve cells.
Thiamine is sometimes called an "anti-stress" vitamin because it may strengthen the immune system and improve the body's ability to withstand stressful conditions.

- Thiamine is a powerful antioxidant and helps to remove harmful free radicals from the body. It also rejuvenates the skin, reduces various signs of ageing like wrinkles, fine lines, spots, dark circles etc.
- For Betta fish, absorbs carbohydrates in the food to produce energy and provide sugar to the brain and nerves. Lack of Vitamin B1 will lead to movement restrictions and cramps.
